Key Areas:

• Legal advice, drafting and reviewing of business agreements (sourcing, supply, quality, distribution, co-operation, R & D) to technology companies and their shareholders and investors with transactions and in the areas of corporate law and changes in equity structure
• General commercial law advice to technology companies in the areas of chemicals, engineering, solar energy and renewables, mechanical engineering and industrial plant construction, software and IT, contract manufacturing services, and pharmaceuticals
• Contractual set-up of large industrial plant construction projects as well as international joint ventures and investment projects including project financing
• Assistance with project development agreements in all those areas

Other Activities:

• Presentations and publications in the field of venture capital transactions and contractual structuring of joint ventures, plant construction projects and photovoltaic power plants
• Holder of supervisory and advisory board mandates

Education and Experience:

• 1981: High school diploma, followed by basic military service
• 1987: First state exam, University of Heidelberg
• 1984-1990: Part-time research assistant at Heidelberg University
• 1990: Doctorate degree at Heidelberg University on „State-owned Stock Corporations“
• 1991: Second state exam, Stuttgart
• Additional studies/degrees in Anglo-American law and business administration
• 1991: Trainee at Robert Bosch Ltd., U.K.
• 1991-1997: Corporate counsel in several international industrial corporations (industrial plant set-up, process engineering and international trade), most recently general counsel at Klöckner Industrie-Anlagen GmbH, Duisburg
• Co-founder of a venture-capital backed chemical company
