• Advising corporate clients regarding structuring of complex transnational M&A transactions (including cartel-filings, post-merger integration, HR issues and benefits) as well as in connection with corporate restructuring (divestitures of operations / partial operations); acquisition of companies or assets in special situations (out of insolvency)
• Establishment of or participation in international joint ventures (Europe, North America, China and India)
• General corporate contract and commercial advice to international and medium sized companies, e.g. in the fields of automotive, computer technologies, mechanical engineering and plant construction
• Labor and corporate law as well as general commercial law

Other Activities:

• Presentations and publications on the topic of structuring M&A transactions and investments abroad
• Founding member of the Wisconsin-Gießen-Alumni Association; member of the American Chamber of Commerce and the American German Business Club

Education and Experience:

• 1981-1986: Studies of law in Gießen and The Hague
• 1990: Second state law exam
• 1990-1991: Postgraduate studies in Madison, Wisconsin/U.S.A.
• 1991-1994: Practice with corporate law firms in New York, Milwaukee and Toronto; legal counsel in international industrial engineering company
• 1994-1997: Attorney in international corporate law firm
• Since 1997 with mpk (founding partner)
